What will we do?

A 30 minute hike will give you this view.

Quadra Island has many interesting activities for you to choose from. We have a beautiful, natural environment that allows many outdoor opportunities. We have a rich cultural community of artisans who paint, make pottery, and play music. Individuals and groups can request a package focusing on their special interests.

The activities in the homestay package are designed to give students an overview of the local culture and environment on Quadra and Vancouver Islands. Activities will be selected from the following list, depending on the weather, the season, and the special interests of the students:

  • Walk amongst the big trees
  • Yoga
  • Bike
  • Explore the beach
  • Paddle in a sea canoe
  • Sight-see
  • Go to Cooking Class
  • Swim in the lake or ocean
  • Swim in the swimming pool
  • Bird-watch
  • Skate at indoor rink
  • Visit the Farmer's market,

  • Native cultural activities,

Beach walking is popular here. Many activities are held in the Community Hall.
You can learn how to cook our foods. People often make gingerbread men at Christmas time.

Skating in nearby Campbell River is fun.

There is also an indoor swimming pool nearby.
